I’m thrilled to announce that I’m working as the cinematographer of Guardians of the Microcosm, a film about the hidden world of insects, the tiny heroes that keep life on our planet running.

The documentary explores the many unexpected ways that humanity depends on insects. It shows their beauty and their heroic deeds, but also how our behavior is causing dramatic declines in their numbers, and what we must to do to avert catastrophe.

The documentary is produced by Swiss independent Lucky Film and will be released in cinemas in 2025. I’ve been involved in the development and preliminary shoots for the past two years. This May, we’ll officially start filming, which will take place across four continents over the next two years.
